Who
CAI Product Manager & CTO of Ludus Alliance
Ludus Alliance UXUI Product designer (Me)
Cognitive-athletics training metrics combine physical and mental skill development, targeting muscle memory and self-regulation brain functions through stimulation and real-time feedback.

I spearheaded the creation of the CAI training metrics and proposed the UXUI Solution to a sport club partner as a proof-of-concept.

As the sole UXUI Product Designer, I emphasized accessibility across web, mobile, and smart TV devices, enabling trainers to identify performance weaknesses and improvements effectively.

Our metrics

The Challange

Efficiently monitor trainee performance and retention, while allowing optimizion in training programs, informed decisions and customer loyality among sport club audiences and customers.

Our goal

Complete performance monetization across different devices used in sport clubs for different key users while allowing a unique view for trainers, club managers and customers.

Research

I interviewed Ludus prior users to gather their main pain points and needs. With the team, we created an information architecture that aligns with user expectations using the "open card sorting" technique.

We then prepared the essential features and actions for the MVP on Web, Mobile, and TV experiences, following the "20/80 Pareto Principle".

We conducted interviewes with 42 sport club managers and trainers across the US, familiar with Ludus cognitive metrics solutions for enhanced sports performance.

Tomas is an experienced martial artist and personal trainer who is dedicated to improving sports performance. His primary goals include enhancing his effectiveness as a trainer, advancing his own martial arts skills, accurately tracking trainees' progress, and providing personalized suggestions for improvement. Additionally, Tomas aims to align his training methodologies with the standards of his colleagues in the league.

However, he faces several pain points as a trainer working in a hectic sport club enviroment with many trainees. Including:
1. limited ability to effectively track trainees' activities and progress
2. Difficulty in offering personalized guidance
3. Lack of comprehensive performance metrics and visibility into trainees' progress
4. Struggling to unlock full tech accesories or thecniques in the sport club
5. Challenged by his trainees leaving for alternative training options.

To overcome these obstacles, Tomas seeks solutions that will help him address these pain points, maximize his coaching capabilities, and retain trainees in his sport club.

User flow

I conducted a 'tree testing' with about 30 participants to evaluate our desired CAI solution's architecture among people unfamiliar with Ludus' company and metrics. This led to the creation of a CX Mapping and a clear information hierarchy (Site map).
